More about Blue Sapphire (Neelam) 8.47 Carat (9.3 Ratti) Oval Faceted – LN1196

Description
Blue sapphire, called Neelam, is corundum (aluminium oxide), the same mineral family as ruby. Pure corundum is colourless; traces of iron and titanium turn it blue, from a pale sky tone to a deep inky blue.
Sapphire is very hard, 9 on the Mohs scale, just under diamond, with a specific gravity around 4.0 and a refractive index of 1.76 to 1.77. Most sapphire in the market is heat-treated, which the trade accepts as standard. Colour, clarity, treatment, origin and size all drive the price.
Who is this for?
People with Taurus, Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius as their lagna (ascendant), where Neelam is a first-choice stone, and Gemini or Virgo lagnas after a chart check. It suits people in Saturn's fields such as iron and steel, construction, mining, oil, transport, land, machinery and law. It is usually avoided for Aries, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio and Pisces lagnas, so get your kundli checked and run a one-month trial before wearing it.
